Description:  A class for all ages of adults. The Old Testament ends with twelve short books that, because of their length are called the Minor Prophets. These twelve prophets lived from about 840 B.C. to 420 B.C., and they were the main moral and spiritual leaders of their time. They spoke to the needs of the people, informing them about God, obedience, faith, love, patience, sin, and judgment. At the same time, these prophets predicted future events which were messages direct from God to the people. We will be discussing each of these in this class. We use the Inductive Bible Study approach because inductive reasoning is consistent with the way in which we normally solve problems and study new ideas. Application is the goal of our study in these books of the Bible as this is where principles are found that affect our behavior as a Christian by the power and anointing of the Holy Spirit. Participation and note taking are encouraged. Questions and open discussion are welcome. Bible reading is encouraged. Food and fellowship precedes class. There is open concern for classmates, prayer for needs, and praise for answers. This is a class that helps support one another like family.

Time: 7-8:30 PM

Cost:  Books are available for purchase, but not required
Location: Room 201

Description:  Join us for The Soul of Prince Caspian:  When C.S. Lewis wrote the Chronicles of Narnia more than a half century ago, many considered it a mere children’s story and missed the rich spiritual meaning of the Christian faith that Lewis was clearly communicating. Join LEE for a 6-week series that will explore spiritual truths in the Land of Narnia found in the second book (and movie), Prince Caspian. Prince Caspian deals with a world that has forgotten Aslan—just as we often forget our first love—Jesus Christ. Suzanne will use teaching, group discussion and the movie, Prince Caspian, to explore spiritual conflicts in the Land of Narnia and similarities in our walk of faith. If you missed the fall series, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, you won’t want to miss Prince Caspian.
